The Embedded Competency Center is an organizational unit of Sii, that brings together over 500 specialists in the field of embedded systems/ electronics.

We are currently looking for an experienced RUST Engineer who will join the project in the automotive industry. Together with our colleagues, you will create advanced safety systems, high-performance electrification solutions, and data connectivity solutions.

Your role

Support POSIX OSes (Linux, VxWorks QNX, Android) by developing software in RUST language
Enable Middleware Bring up hardware platforms by enabling the OS layer (HV+Linux+RTOS+…) and preconfiguring it for other Middleware services and frameworks
Configure the build system and software dependencies for the target platform
Define, evaluate, investigate, and prototype technologies and solutions, while influencing the SW architecture of the final portfolio
Debug, troubleshoot, and fix bugs

Your skills

A few years of experience developing embedded systems and at least 2 years in RUST
Experience with one of the following POSIX OS: VxWorks/QNX/Linux Embedded
Familiarity with build system (yocto/cmake)
Knowledge of scripting language (e.g. Python, Bash)
Previous work with software tools e.g. GIT, Jenkins, Polarion, Confluence, JIRA
Ability to communicate in English

Optional:

Experience in the automotive sector
Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g. Ethernet, CAN)
